Ben was commissioned to design a garden which would integrate seamlessly with this brand new contemporary residence.
The garden was designed to create synergy with the architecture and maintain the spatial flow, sense of light and allow the architecture to breathe. It was designed as a sanctuary to relax and unwind, but also for the pragmatics of outdoor living - a place to entertain and a place for children.
A classic palette of external materials was selected to ensure the garden has a timeless aesthetic.
The planting is structured to make it robust and provide privacy, yet the garden has wonderful seasonal and textural interest - there is always something happening in the garden throughout the year - the sculptural interest of a deciduous tree in winter, spring blossom, summer fragrance or an autumnal display.
